      Hi Netball enthusiasts!

My name is Emmanuel Katto and I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on effective strategies for defending against fast breaks in netball. With the pace of the game constantly increasing, it can be challenging to maintain solid defense while ensuring our players are positioned strategically.

What specific techniques or defensive formations do you think work best in these situations? Do you have any tips or personal experiences that could help a team improve its defensive game in fast break scenarios?

Looking forward to learning from your insights!

      Best,
      Emmanuel Katto

Hands over every ball, try to suffocate the ball carrier.

For example what i like to do with my teams is when the opposition gk has the ball I tell my players to squash them into the attack third by playing behind the player the gs hangs back. The gk will struggle to pass out of the third resulting into a turnover.

Another way is a wall on the centre pass. There are example of this online.

If you put hands over every ball you will stop the flow of the opposition.

Make sure your wd keeps the wa off the circles edge for easy feeds. Gd to disrupt the ga’s drives and gk keeps the shooter from being under the post.

        I hope this helps.
