Nice chance for van der Merwe to get in the circle with her and Wood being similar heights. Will be interesting to see how Wood goes against a different kind of defence.

At least she corrected herself… disappointing it happened to begin with though.

I know Wallam is amazing but every time I watch Bueta at GS for the diamonds I just wonder what the firebirds could be if they signed Dwan and Stower to support Bueta as the future… her in GS means we get all the amazing athleticism but without her general play turnovers and she’s just amazing to watch.

The Diamonds are absolutely flying. South Africa didn’t really do that much wrong, simply couldn’t contend with the attack and missed a few shots early. This is the best I’ve seen of the Hadley/Watson combination, Hadley has really been the perfect foil. Wood needs to shoot a bit more though, some of those balls into Bueta wouldn’t work against the Top 4.

I’d like to see Moloney a bit more at WD. Brazill has been quiet but has still released a bit of pressure through penalties.

I completely agree enozlas about focusing on a Bueta/Dwan circle at the F’Birds. They played it a few times and it actually worked really well. Wallam could have been great at T’Birds instead of Dwan.

Bueta is just amazing in GS. Such a strong hold but also quick and agile enough to get on the move. Love her there.

Hadley proving she’s far and away the strongest option in C out of the Moloney/Brazil/Hadley trio

                            Hadley!!!

Loving this front line. Wood right in the game now too, and Watson not needing to do EVERYTHING

Wood starting to find her own and go to post in the second quarter, great to see.

Brazil having an uncharacteristically quiet game for her standards.

Hadley hobbling off.. clearly under an injury cloud but hopefully they can get her right for the end of the week.
