@mcleod – you’ve kind of reinforced my point. We shouldn’t settle for sub-10,000 as being “more than adequate for a netball crowd”. Netball has to compete for athletes, investment and crowds against soccer, league, AFLW, cricket and basketball – for the sport to be viable we need all teams to pull in >7,000 crowds week after week. That requires sustained investment.
I agree with @netballgirl – inclusion of NZ based team(s) in the SSN is strongly in NNZ’s interests, but less so for NA.
I do wonder if because Aus deems their competition the strongest in the world (and it is), and allows for unlimited imports. That it has to automatically open itself up to ideas of adding the likes of NZ teams to the SSN? Like, they’re almost forced to?
It would never work for England teams, as it’s just too far.The lack of social media content coming from SSN is fairly dissapoiting, what happened to the last five or last minute or two minutes and plays of the weeks video. The clubs have had to step up but it is dissapointing. Mavericks posted a five minute highlights video to youtube, we need more of that content
Round 3 thread…
