Didn’t know where to put this – podcast with Phoenix Karaka on “PlayOn Sports Show”
I didn’t like at all. Says a lot about the Ferns environment in my opinion.
Firstly, she said Kelly Jackson, oh wait, Kelly Johnson – she got married.
Then was talking about COB and said “COB – what’s her name” and had to think about it before she said “Claire OBrien”
Then they asked her about players in the squad for CC and she couldn’t answer the question. I’m not sure if this is poor memory, perhaps squad was just announced, or lack of connection with the squad.
I thought about it if it was an Aussie player being interviewed and don’t think we’d see the same answers.
Then there was mention of the Ferns washing their own dresses and only getting two dresses per season (Ferns). I wonder how this compares to Aussie’s?
Lastly she made comment about how Australia is bigger and bigger and better facilities hence being better. I understand, but what is NNZ doing to improve.
Sorry if I’m coming across negative or bagging the Ferns, but all things that first came to my mind upon listening.
