          1/4 time: Malawi 17 v Tonga 16

          Mvula 9/9 (100%)
          Kumwenda 8/8 (100%)

          Palavi 14/15 (93%)

Great game. Stats pretty even at this stage and that’s reflected in the score.

            1/2 time: Malawi 33 v Tonga 29

            Mvula 21/22 (95%)
            Kumwenda 12/13 (92%)

            Tuivaiti 2/2 (100%)
            Hansen 8/12 (67%)

Little to pick between the teams, but Malawi just edged further in front in that Q. Both teams have had the same number of attempts.

I reckon Tonga might get this. They haven’t let Malawi pull away and are just staying close enough.

The tension’s building here. Halfway through the 3rd Q and Malawi leads by just one.

I always liked watching cat tuivauti play, and now I am getting to enjoy her all over again!

This has been a tremendous achievement for Tonga. Until quite recently, the team didn’t even really exist. They have come from the netball wilderness to finish 8th at the 2023 Netball World Cup. Well done.

Well I sure was wrong about that. Malawi ran away with it. Going to be a very interesting next 4 years for them.

Exciting to see To ga competing at this level. Would be wonderful to see Samoa and Cook Islands join them.

I recall Vika Koloto playing for Tonga in World Cup qualifiers, I would’ve thought she’d make the World Cup side.

Or would that then make her an import in ANZ premiership?

                                  SA look flat.

Maybe they should swap Geisel and Bongi. Definitely struggling to penetrate in attack and get to circle edge. Taljaard not as effective as she has been in past games.

Strydom has been great this WC but think SA could benefit with Van Der Merwe in at WD today.
