SWIFTS v VIXENS
LIGHTNING v FIREBIRDSSunday
MAGPIES v FEVER
THUNDERBIRDS v GIANTSTeam lists for round 2…
I’ve noticed that all of the advertising and promos are really bad with times and time zones this year. I think a huge part of making netball more accessible is to have that information readily on each infographic. The Fox one especially is very unclear. I’m finding it so hard to work out when to watch with daylight savings etc!
I asked this question last week and Ian replied – but I’ve forgotten and I can’t find the post. Sorry Ian. Does Australia day light saving change tomorrow (Sunday) like it does here in NZ?
I’m sure Google will tell you when daylight saving ends. But it’s tomorrow, just like NZ
Thanks McLeod – yes google says ‘for those state participating’
I use Ian’s fabulous calendar to plan my netty watching. Includes times for many different time zones and caters for Day Light Savings and its ending tomorrow. Thanks Ian.
Yes I can find the information via Google (still not easily) but my point is, the average punter hopping onto a team social should have the times and watch options emblazoned everywhere! The sport needs more casual interest as well as we die-hards!
I get Vixens posts on my FB page and I just got one that said when the game was on today AEDT. And their email from them is clear too. Both tell me how to watch the games.
Seems like Vixens have it sorted on the team socials I’ve set up to get info from them. But some people on FB do ask some questions that suggest they haven’t read the post very well. Who are Vixens playing? What day is the game? What time is the game? etc etc.
But I don’t use Twitter or Instagram so not sure about them.
If I wasn’t a fan of a team and hadn’t set it up to get their socials, I’d go to the SSN site. The dates and times for Round 2 are at the top of their home page. If I click on a game it gives more details including how to watch on TV, tho’ not for international viewers using that new streaming option.
Yes, same day, Maryann. Tonight/tomorrow morning!
As mentioned, I made sure the times were right in my netball calendar. It gives you the correct time where you are.

Former @AdelaideTBirds Captain and current @WestCoastFever Training Partner Chelsea Pitman will join the GIANTS' squad as a temporary replacement player for Sunday's round two match.#StandUnited

But predictable. Pitman could be getting herself a lot of random games this year. But then Giants have no WAs.
Why do Giants have 11 players named?
I know that travelling teams can take 2 TPs but no other teams are naming them so is this something different?
Had O’Shannessy not made her debut in 2019 the Swifts bench would have zero games experience…..
