in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 7 – SWIFTS v LIGHTNING #1309885
Very happy with the Swifts(I’ve only been able to watch from half time onwards) felt there were a few moments where they couldve let the lightning in but the experience from grinding out wins is now paying off. Proud is slowly but surely getting back to her previous form and confidence. The feeding to Wallace was so much better
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – LIGHTNING v THUNDERBIRDS #1309477Koenan was brilliant today, she really stood out. The rest of the attack end didn’t do a lot of specky stuff like they’re known for but did their jobs to ensure sterling stayed out of the contest. Langman was fantastic in defence as usual.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – LIGHTNING v THUNDERBIRDS #1309456Do we know if Hodges is carrying an injury? Its weird that she’s not in the 12 or getting any court time. In a condensed season positions like GA and GD benefit from being able to have a rest. I just don’t get it shes a playmaker who’s not afraid to shoot long and has experience playing SSN and ANZP level netball. To me Glasgow is a GS and should be played as such, she creates a lot more from there that leaves Horjus as their only GA option really and only long bomb option while Lenize is in that GS position making it straight forward for the Lightning to know what their strategy is come SS time.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – LIGHTNING v THUNDERBIRDS #1309454This is shaping up to be a battle of the defenders both sides have fantastic defensive line ups. I think the Lightning attack is that little bit more polished. I’m hoping for a Tbirds upset but want to see Koenan play well on Sterling.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – VIXENS v GIANTS #1309451I think for Giants when Hay and JLP aren’t working they should move Hay to C and bring on COB or Parmenter to C JLP to WD
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – VIXENS v GIANTS #1309450I wouldn’t put JLP in circle defence especially not with Poolman. If Manu’a shifts out to WD then Brandley or McDonnell should be GD.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – VIXENS v GIANTS #1309410Austin is playing so well for Giants and Thwaites for Vixens. Both have been switched over and not skipped a beat. I think the Giants defenders are struggling with the way Thwaites and Kumwenda play together in the circle, its very non-traditional.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – VIXENS v GIANTS #1309379Watson v Parmenter is an exciting match up, im also keen to see how Austin goes against Weston it should be a good indicator of how shes tracking for diamonds selection. Weston will need to tidy up a bit I think but she does also seem to find taller GAs a bit easier to tag.
in reply to: Iso activity – Pick the 2022 Comm Games Teams #1309370I haven’t been following England and NZ that much this year. If you had have asked last year I could’ve done their teams. I’ve gone over the limit for even just Australia but this is who I think will be in contention
For Australia:
Bueta Glasgow Koenan Garbin/AustinWatson Hadley Proud/Mimi Parmenter/Simpson
Klau Bruce Weston Jenner/Turner/Eddy
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 6 – SWIFTS v MAGPIES #1309369I completely agree al_ex. Especially when the Giants training partners seem to always be the Swifts TPs from the previous year, Fraser needs to be offered a contract next year. It would be good if we could convince Parmenter to switch over next year, I love what Craig does but I just think Parmenter would fit in really well and provide the defenders with even better cover.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 5 – FIREBIRDS v SWIFTS #1308935Think Kim Jenner was wrong to smile when Housby gave her that look, she plays better when she’s angry from the looks of things and is bringing the Swifts along too. The Firebirds are so exciting and I say that as a very scared Swifts fan but a very happy diamonds fan. I think if Bueta comes back next season and the defenders improve their timing and discipline that little bit more they’ll be unstoppable.
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 4 – LIGHTNING v SWIFTS #1308613Love watching Koenan even though she was dominating my team. I think it was hard for Klau Moore and Turner to settle into a rhythm with the changes plus Klau seems to be having a hard time regaining her 2019 form.
I can see the future diamonds gaolers being any four out of Koenan Austin Garbin Glasgow Tippet and Wood.in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 4 – LIGHTNING v SWIFTS #1308602Koenan is amazing, I can’t see Swifts winning this
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 4 – LIGHTNING v SWIFTS #1308597Think the swifts should have a back three of Turner Moore and Klau
in reply to: 2020 SSN ROUND 4 – LIGHTNING v SWIFTS #1308590This game is gonna be a nail biter, unfortunately I think the Lightning look too good in this one
